It was a pleasant surprise seeing so much character acting and even an impact frame in such a minor scene! A standard in Season 1 but a rare sight in Season 2, fortunately, it does not end there. The next one comes in the form of Rosie as he pushes everyone away and frantically eats the first monster cell. His transformation was done fairly well and f lows like a chemical explosion which I just love. The good: A surprising amount of good animation is present right from the get-go in this episode! With the first cut coming in when Gouketsu explains how he became a monster. This entire scene has so much weight and fluidity, from the moment Suiryu takes off into the sky in order to escape to Bakuzan’s sick character acting after victory. The great: The Savior of Season 2 delivers yet again as Kenichiro Aoki comes in with the fantastic climax scene of Suiryu finally being taken down by Bakuzan with a vicious flurry. Let us find out if this episode stands out from the rest. I had high expectations for this episode due to a lot of discussion around many different threads about multiple good freelance animators joining in.
